the essential
surprise for the organizers of the Brassac MTB X-Cross: the results of the enduro world championships crowned the same riders as those who won the French championships organized in Brassac!

Despite its almost quarter of a century of activity, the Brassac VTT X-Cross has always been able to renew itself and this, with success! The proof is the recent shift taken by the organizers, transforming the downhill event into an enduro which resulted in a French championship hosted in 2024. A very deserved reward for the team of President Mickaël Rouanet, very proud of this recognition of the federation for all the work accomplished by the tracers and other volunteers who travel through the forests with shovel and pickaxe in hand to offer the competitors ever more beautiful courses and the public a show that is always up to par. But what can we say about the surprise reserved by the recent results of the first world championships, organized by the International Cycling Union in Val di Fassa Trentino, in Italy: The winners are exactly the same as those of the French championships in Brassac!

Proof that the level of French mountain biking is still as high as ever and that the field of riders presented in Brassac was truly exceptional. The world champions and vice-champions were indeed crowned champions and vice-champions of , for both men and women: Isabelle Courdurier and Mélanie Pugin followed by Morgane Charre 3rd / Alex Rudeau and Louis Jeandel therefore invaded the podiums and won the world champion titles: A French raid! In electric, Kévin Miquel and Estelle Charles also wore rainbow jerseys after struggling to wear blue, white and red in Brassac! The Brassaga event was therefore largely premonitory regarding the prize list but it also proves that its level of requirement and competitiveness deserved to constitute the support of the national event. Four world champions and two world vice-champions will therefore have cut their teeth at the foot of the old bridge before conquering the Italian peaks, a source of pride for the Brassac VTT X-Cross which will hold its General Assembly on November 23 and which is preparing the 24th edition for May 17 and 18, 2025.
