Sixty teams will be at the start of the men’s road race at the World Cycling Championships in Zurich (Switzerland) on Sunday, September 29. The Netherlands of defending champion Mathieu van der Poel will be the best represented with nine riders, while the French team will advance with eight men, including leaders Julian Alaphilippe and David Gaudu.
Favorite to win the rainbow jersey, Tadej Pogacar will be well supported on a very demanding 273 km course: the Slovenian will be able to count on the support of Primoz Roglic, winner of the Vuelta earlier this month. Note that a refugee team is present during this race. Find the complete list of entries and teams for the world cycling championships.
