It was a “very difficult” week that Strasbourg experienced before heading off to challenge TFC at the Stadium this Sunday afternoon (5:15 p.m.). Training and habits have undergone numerous adjustments.
There are some meetings that are more difficult than others to prepare for. A trip to the Parc des Princes, the Vélodrome, or even the Toulouse Stadium. This is the case of Strasbourg which, before its trip to the Pink City, was affected by a flu virus which forced it to disrupt its entire week of preparation.

“It’s a situation a bit like in the time of Covid. We ate staggered so that there were fewer players together in the canteen, we put the masks back on, it reminds us of the bad memories of Covid” declared Liam Rosenior, the English coach of this Alsatian team, at a press conference, as reported by France Bleu. According to L’Équipe, only 14 players reported to the coach between Tuesday and Thursday.

Small groups were also held to avoid the spread of the virus while continuing training sessions. “All the staff really tried to minimize the risk of exposure to the disease. Unfortunately for us, we were all affected in the staff, myself included,” detailed the coach. Before pressing: “We must approach this really very important match for our season without excuses and try to win it.”
