NARRATIVE – At the end of spectacular searches and lengthy procedures, the final indictment concerning the involvement of three ministers of the time will be rendered. The resulting decision should be… a dismissal.
Justice, taken hostage by activists of all stripes. The legal history of Covid 19 could be summed up in this sad observation. Five years after the first confinement, on March 17, 2020, the public prosecutor’s office at the Court of Cassation will deliver, within three months, its final indictment concerning the involvement of three ministers of the time: the two ministers of the successive Health, Olivier Véran and Agnès Buzyn, as well as the Prime Minister, Édouard Philippe, all accused of the offense of “failure to assist a person in danger”.
There is no doubt that the public prosecutor’s office will follow the line drawn by the investigation commission of the Court of Justice of the Republic, issued on January 30: for lack of serious or consistent evidence, none of these political protagonists have been imprisoned. under examination – they are still today under the assisted witness regime even though the case is closed. Mechanically, this conclusion results in a dismissal of the case.
