Democratized during the Covid-19 pandemic, teleworking has disrupted the organization of companies. But four years later, many are reviewing their operations and opting again for more presence in the company.

Is teleworking over? Since Covid-19, you have probably gotten used to working one or two days a week at home. But some companies, like Amazon, have asked its employees to return to the office full-time. The same request from this Parisian consulting company where since the end of last year, all employees have only been allowed to telework one day per week.

One day of teleworking per week

A day of authorized teleworking and a goal for the management team of this consulting firm: to bring together and unite the 18 employees of its site. From Monday to Thursday, everyone is now present. “Everyone works in unison. We are part of the same company, we recognize each other as such and that is what also allows us to exchange and for it to remain human, it is not just virtual […] “When you have the possibility, by getting up from your chair, to communicate or go see the person in two seconds, it tends to move things forward more quickly,” says Yann Rouveure, one of the founders of Taléo Consulting.

A vision shared by Chaima, who was used to 100% teleworking in her previous job. Now a business manager, she appreciates this return to face-to-face work. “I have my colleague next to me and so when I write an email and I’m not too sure about the wording, I ask her for her opinion. The social interaction is good,” she explains. Most employees choose Friday as their telework day.
