Pascal Obispo unveils a duet with Carla Bruni and announces a new album

The new school year is off to a strong start for Pascal Obispo. The singer reveals this Thursday, September 12 His childlike soula duet with Carla Bruni, and at the same time announces the release of a new album in November.

Written by Carla Bruni and composed by Pascal Obispo, this song in duo “tells the story of our childlike souls, how they resist everything, how they keep us standing and how at every moment of our lives we can hear the drum of their heart beating and rediscover the taste of freedom”, explains a note of intent published on the singer’s Instagram account.

“We lose our shoes, our hair, our teeth / But we never lose our child’s soul,” sing the two artists in the preamble.

His childlike soul is the first extract from Pascal Obispo’s next album, The Archipelago of Sequelsexpected on November 15th. “Ten tracks, including eight duets with exclusively female artists”: the 59-year-old singer will notably sing alongside Élodie Frégé, Zazie, Isabelle Boulay and Nolwenn Leroy. This album will follow The Raining Beautyreleased last year.

In addition, Pascal Obispo will be hitting the roads of France from November 7th to present his new concert, 30 years of success: Correspondences. Enough to reassure about the state of health of the singer, who had to cancel five concerts at the end of July due to “force majeure”, as he had announced at the time. He had thanked his audience for their “kind messages of recovery”.

In early July, Carla Bruni was indicted and placed under judicial supervision in the investigation into the false retractions in 2020 of Ziad Takieddine. The Franco-Lebanese businessman accused the singer’s husband, former President Nicolas Sarkozy, of financing his 2007 presidential campaign with Libyan funds.
