Very rarely while working, because my co-author mostly wants to work in noisy cafes in the middle of the afternoon. So the music from Parisian cafes, and the noise. When we go on a writing residency, on the other hand, we work a lot on music.

I know very little about labels I must admit… but I really like Sony’s work. And Affranchis Music, whose artists I like.

Do you know what the metal drone is?
Yes, of course, this is an extreme musical subgenre of doom metal. The genre appeared in the early 1990s and is characterized by particularly slow rhythms and chord progressions as well as heavily distorted electric guitar pieces. I have absolutely not looked at the definition on the internet.
-Do you prefer records or live music?
I prefer music recorded in the studio rather than live, but I love going to concerts!
Your fondest concert memory?
I saw Archive at Bercy, it was crazy. And especially recently Zaho de Sagazan at the Olympia, it was a moment of unforgettable magic. A trip above ground.
Do you go to a club to dance, flirt, listen to music on a good sound system or do you never go to a club?
I go there a bit but I don’t like it very much, I must admit… I prefer to play music at big parties at home or in an apartment, light years away from the nightclub.
Who is the band you hate seeing on stage, but whose records you love and vice versa?
I have trouble going to see artists who give me a lot of emotion, as if I had too personal and an intimate relationship with their music. Orelsan, for me, impossible to see him in concert, I like it too much, I think.
Your favorite musical film or your favorite film score?
Mon film musical : Let’s sing in the rain. My film music: E.T. Otherwise, in my playlist, there are the soundtracks of LaLaland, Grease, Tic Tic Boom, In the Heights.
