They have always been my priorityunderlined the artist who constantly put his offspring before his career. “Because I thought – and I still think – that when you decide to have children, you have to raise them as best as possible, love them and support them.” This does not prevent Sylvie Vartan from discussing one of the aspects of her career which deprived her of her boy. : “It’s true that I was frustrated when David was little. I went on tour every summer with his father, when the children his age went on vacation. Fortunately, my mother always took over and that reassured me (…). My family has always been my main concern. I have never sacrificed it, I feel quite light on this subject.”

His blended family makes him immensely proud

Remember that David Hallyday was a teenager when his famous mother met the American producer Tony Scotti. After her separation from Johnny Hallyday, Sylvie Vartan then settled in the United States. “At first I was very sad becausewe were coming out of twenty years of living together with Johnny“, reported Estelle Lefébure’s ex-mother-in-law. “But I had to continue alone this time because it was my life. Even if for me, singing has never been a job.”.

During this period, the latter immersed herself deeply in her career:Yes, I went to even bigger shows, I sang in Las Vegas and it was a red and gold period… Because Tony had just come into my life. I don’t think David suffered from it. Over the years, Tony knew how to love him, protect him, give him confidence and always show him the right path.“, said Sylvie Vartan who in 1984, four years after her divorce, married her new companion. And to her greatest happiness, Tony Scotti clearly knew how to build a solid relationship with his eldest son!
