After playing Ken in the film “Barbie”, will Ryan Gosling be the next hero in the “Star Wars” saga? The question is legitimate if we are to believe the information from the “Hollywood Reporter”. The American magazine announced on January 21, 2025 that the 44-year-old actor is in negotiations to appear in the next film in the galactic franchise.
If we still don’t know which character the Canadian will play, it would be the main role in the film which must be directed by Shawn Levy – to whom we notably owe “Deadpool & Wolverine”. As “Hollywood Reporter” recalls, this film project has been in development since 2022. Note that in two years, no information has filtered out as to the time in which its plot should take place. We just know that there will be no connection with the Skywalker family.
Still according to the American media, the participation of Ryan Gosling in the project could change the production schedule. If an agreement is reached with Eva Mendes’ companion, filming could begin this fall. Contacted, Lucasfilm – the production company behind the “Star Wars” films – has not yet commented on this information.
