“I make bad films one after the other”: what really happened on Jean-Claude Van Damme’s X account?

For several weeks, subscribers to Jean-Claude Van Damme’s X account have witnessed a real series of disturbing events. Improbable tweets, dubious revelations and accusations: a look back at a hack orchestrated by former employees of the Belgian star.

On January 19, an unexpected message appeared on the official account of Jean-Claude Van Damme on X: “I’m really sorry for lying to you all these years, it was Alain Moussi who did the splits, not me, because I haven’t been able to do it for years”. This tweet, accompanied by a video of the famous advertisement in which the actor performs his legendary splits between two trucks, is surprising.

But that was just the beginning of a series of strange posts. Among the messages, one claimed that the actor would not pay his employees, would prefer to squander his money on a certain Alena and would be responsible for his “bad films” : “I’m not hacked. I just don’t pay my employees. I love giving all my money to Alena. Only to Alena. I don’t love my kids. I don’t work out. I don’t eat. I don’t sleep. This is how I make bad films one after the other. I don’t know why I do this?
