Jack Schlossberg, JFK's only grandson, sparked strong reactions by comparing Jackie Kennedy to Usha Vance on X, during Donald Trump's inauguration.

Witty or disturbing comment? Jack Schlossberg's words, published on X on January 20, shocked more than one. As Donald Trump took the oath of office that day and once again took up residence at the White House, JFK's grandson posted: “True or false: Usha Vance is much sexier than Jackie O.” Usha Vance, 39, is the wife of JD Vance, the new American vice president.

“A real pervert”

Many Internet users were surprised by Jack Schlossberg's publication, seen by more than 7 million people to date. “To be honest, I think most people don’t do beauty rankings with their grandmother,” many of them pointed out to her.

A few hours later, the 32-year-old returned to his keyboard and reacted to the criticism, feigning awareness. “I’m a real pervert. I said my grandmother was hot… Have I lost my mind? Jesus…this kid will do anything for attention. Your grandfather would be ashamed. Seriously. It’s time to find a job,” he posted.

A grating humor

We can assume that Jack Schlossberg's first tweet was actually a mark of sarcasm. A committed Democrat alongside Joe Biden, the outgoing president, we can easily imagine him diverting attention from the inauguration ceremony to a reflection as absurd as that of comparing the attractions of his grandmother to the new Second Lady of the States -United.

Son of Caroline Kennedy, Jack Schlossberg is already known for his scathing humor. Political correspondent for the Vogue US since 2017, he has described himself as “a funny, crazy guy,” but also a “crock who’s just trying to set the record straight.” Now he can add “social media agitator” to his resume.
