Laurent Baffie is well known for his spontaneity and outspokenness. However, the 66-year-old comedian admitted to “Figaro” that he had lied to his children for a long time. He explains.
Laurent Baffie is no longer the sniper on Thierry Ardisson’s shows, but he continues his journey brilliantly, particularly on social networks, with his hidden cameras that he posts on his Instagram account to more than a million subscribers. The comedian, who is also on tour, has never locked himself into the constraints of society and has always been a free spirit… even at school!
Laurent Baffie “lied to his children”: “I didn’t think a word of it”
The actor, now 66 years old, admits: he has always had difficulty with authority, from a very young age. “I never liked French school, I find it unhealthy”, he confided to Figaro. And the resident of Big Heads of RTL is all the more worried by the current times: “For people who have this vocation to teach, I wish them courage because the working conditions are so harsh. With threats, beheadings…”
However, for a long time, Laurent Baffie tried to convince his children Jérémy, 39 years old, Mélody 37 years old, Benjamin, 29 years old, and Bastien, 20 years old (born from his relationship with Sandrine), of the opposite: “I lied to my children all my life by telling them good things about school when I didn’t mean a word about it. I personally found my prison education“.
-Laurent Baffie, facing old age: “It’s horrible, that’s all I think about”
Definitely not made for the shackles, Laurent Baffie had chosen to get involved in politics for the Animalist Party, in 2022, before leaving it after a while: “I was already disgusted with politics but I gave in to give this party a spotlight. I regret having done it. I hated putting a toe in it. I didn’t imagine that at my small level, someone I knew would ask me to give up for a girlfriend of his. I hallucinated.“
From now on, the comedian who recently admitted without shame to having had cosmetic surgery for his eyes and hair no longer intends to bow to any form of authority… but he cannot escape that of the passing of time: “My relationship with age is bad, I’m going to be 67, it’s inconceivable. Françoise Hardy was talking about the number of lilacs that we will see bloom again. I’m in the home stretch, it’s horrible. I only think about that“.
