From January 23 to 26, Reading Nights invite you to discover the riches of heritage, whether literary, artistic, cultural or built. Small selection of Reading Nights in different places in the department.

Haut Limousin en Marche

On Thursday January 23 and Saturday January 25, the intercommunal reading network will highlight the literary and cultural heritage of the region.

On Thursday the 23rd, it will all start with a big reading aloud game. The Little Reading Champions have chosen, as every year, a list of works intended to arouse the desire to read among the youngest. The readers will be the CM1 and CM2 of the Ecole des Rochettes, who will read in public… and perhaps end up in the departmental final.

On Saturday January 25, spotlight on local authors, with a presentation of favorites which will immerse you in the works of Giraudoux, Linol, Picon, Lavergne and many others.

Meet at 11 a.m. at the Magnac- media library. FREE ENTRANCE.

You are also invited to rediscover Notre Dame de during a virtual and immersive visit to the Micro-Folie at the Dorat media library.

The Bellac librarians have also prepared a Story Time for the little ones full of stories about dreams and the atmosphere of the night. Reservation recommended.

Do you prefer to play? It’s at the Bellac media library that it’s happening. On the program, a new gaming experience, Run, Die & Repeat, inspired by role-playing games (registration required). Board games offered by the librarians and the traveling game library also await you.

ELAN intercommunal network

The media libraries of the ELAN intercommunal network, Nantiat and Nieul, will celebrate heritage all day on January 25.

On the program:

Story time on “The mysteries of the castle”, in Nieul at 10:30 a.m..

BFM

No sleep this year at the BFM in Limoges. The associations which lend beds each year are in fact involved in relief operations in Mayotte or elsewhere and they have taken their equipment there. But there will be plenty of entertainment on the program January 25 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. (the BFM will be closed the rest of the day).

On the program for this night punctuated by the town crier, you will be able to retake your school certificate, attend a show of medieval jugglers and a lightsaber fight, take part in a storytelling vigil, listen to readings of revolutionary texts, eat on site, do your shopping at the flea market, go play at the casino or take quizzes.
You can also visit the backstage of the BFM (visits at 5:30 p.m., 7 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 10 p.m.).

Dubouché Museum

Usually closed to the public, the museum library opens its doors for a visit with Claire Lathière, the museum's documentary studies manager.

The Palais-sur-

The Jean-Ferrat media library will receive two authors on January 25. Régine Rossi-Lagorce (at 3 p.m.) and Claude Cardo (at 5 p.m.), author of Limoges Disappeared et Limoges transformed: Illustrated history of the main buildings, monuments and districts that appeared in the city from 1800 to 1950. They will be present for a time of discussion and signings (possibility of purchasing copies on site). Régine Rossi-Lagorce will also demonstrate kitchen utensils for the public.

Aixe-sur-Vienne

The Simone-Veil media library and the third place L'iD offer various activities (games, workshops, drawings, exhibition, etc.) on January 24, from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The National School of and Design of Limoges is offering “Night Readings” on January 23 at 6 p.m., in the school cafeteria. Writing, orality and performance are at the heart of students' artistic practices during their studies. Seven of them (Juliette Cameau, Eva Chinois, Sasha Hernandez, Lino Leporati-Cardona, Cléméo Le Berre, Jeanne Vieban and Zhuangzhuang Wang) will read their texts to share their unique poetry with the public and will bring to life their texts written with passion .

Rochechouart

The Rochechouart media library is offering an evening dedicated to history and memory, in the presence of Nicolas Lestieux, author of the book Oradour-sur-Vayres July 18-19, 1944: the battle of the other Oradour.

Saint-Junien

Many activities are planned over several days, from January 20 to 28. On January 25, for example, you can “adopt a book” on the market from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. You just have to choose it. Or listen to readings and kamishibaïs at La Roulotte, at the Martial-Pascaud center, from 2 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Conferences and aperitif readings at the media library, readings in several places… In Saint-Junien the Nights of Reading took place transformed into Reading Week.
