It was on January 4 that the former Minister of National Education, Claude Allègre, died at the age of 87. His family then sent a press release to AFP to reveal the sad news. Claude Allègre’s son explained in particular that the politician’s health had deteriorated significantly since he had a heart attack in 2013. Suffering from health problems since then, the press release also added that the state of Claude Allègre had deteriorated since September 2024. The relatives of the man who was a geochemist by training were therefore all reunited this Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Paris to pay him a last tribute. The funeral took place at the Coupole of the Père-Lachaise cemetery and many personalities made the trip.
