Although the artist’s legal situation already seems complex enough, a recent event has shed a strange light on his stay in prison, raising concern and questions: an unusual visit and potential threats to its security.
Pierre Palmade: his safety threatened in prison?
Last November, Pierre Palmade was sentenced to five years in prison, including two years, for the terrible road accident he caused in February 2023, on a departmental road. Currently incarcerated in Bordeaux prisonthe famous comedian is now more worried than ever after receiving a strange visit.
As our colleagues from RTL report, a strange incident occurred recently, in the VIP wing of the prison, where he is locked up and closely monitored. This Monday, January 13, Pierre Palmade indeed received a visit from an individual with very suspicious behavior. The man who was not a relative, nor his lawyer, presented himself as a “staff representative” from the prison.
However, as sources close to the prison administration explain, his behavior was surprising and Pierre Palmade quickly became concerned. We recall that the comedian is placed in solitary confinement and always deals with the same prison officers.
What is certain is that this visit highlighted growing concerns over comedian’s safety behind bars. Pierre Palmade is, in fact, incarcerated in a particularly tense context. His situation is all the more delicate as he is well known for his public setbacks, his controversial career and the accusations against him following the accident which seriously injured three people, including a child.
A second rather worrying incident
If the identity of this visitor remains a mystery and has caused concern within the establishment, it is then reported that another incident took place. Still according to RTL, during this strange visit, “the grid that separates the isolation area from the rest of the detention” would have remained open.
A fact which is prohibited and “extremely rare” to maintain optimal security within the prison. Fortunately, everything quickly returned to normal afterward. “All these doors were then closed, without anything happening, but they should never have been opened”reveals RTL.
