Los Angeles is burning and influencers continue to influence

Show must go on! Just because Los Angeles is on fire doesn’t mean you have to stop creating content. Several influencers had the nerve to film themselves in front of the city lights, all for likes. Clearly, nothing is stopping them.

More “Entertainment”

While 24 people have died and thousands more have lost everything in the devastating fires of recent days in Los Angeles, influencers have no time to lose. You have to create content, always and always. So they continue to stage themselves, using the smoky city as a backdrop… It makes a great post-apocalyptic setting, so cute!

The Instagram account “Influencers in the Wild”, known for pinpointing these funny people who dance while the world burns, shared several videos. One of them shows a young man filmed meditating, with columns of smoke coming from the fire in the background. Two other people assist him, one holding a photoreflector, an accessory for reflecting light, the other immortalizing the moment.

The man filming the scene a few meters away can’t believe it: “Dude, you’re kidding me. He meditates with fire in the background.”

In the comments column, people are horrified:

“Absolutely wrong, how can you do this?”

“Unbearable and emotionless people”

A second video on the same Instagram account shows a woman dancing on a roof and being filmed by two cameras. Here too, you can clearly see in the background how saturated the air is due to the fires.

“How can you be so tasteless?”

But it’s not just people filming themselves in front of the flames. There are also influencers who make tasteless jokes about fires. Influencer Meg DeAngelis, followed by more than 1.2 million fans on TikTok, posted a video in which she says: “I fled the cold of New York for Los Angeles and now the whole city is burning.” Lol!

She also posted a photo of herself in an Instagram story where we see her pouting, with a burning house in the background, as if fires were sexy.

Bad buzz guaranteed for the influencer who received a lot of comments like: “How can you be so tasteless?” or: “Thousands of people are losing their homes, come on, I’m just kidding about that. You influencers are amazing.” Megs DeAngelis has since deleted both posts.
