On the set of “Victoires de la musique”, on France 2, singer Serge Lama announced with modesty and emotion the imminent end of his singing career. “ I am very moved, because this is perhaps the last time this evening that I see an audience cheering for me standing. And it’s certainly the last time since, as you know, I’m stopping the expenses, my body can no longer keep up. I don’t want to sing sitting down », declared the artist with 32 albums. A year later, invited on the set of “C à vous” on France 5, he confirmed the end of his career and his media appearances, with a deadline of February 2024. Serge Lama announces a major project
However, it is a big announcement that the artist has just made on his Instagram account. On January 9, he revealed the project that has occupied him for several weeks now: an autobiographical show dedicated to him, called “Lama: Adventures in Adventures”. “ At the dawn of the first reading of the text by the actors », indicated Serge Lama in the caption of the promotional poster for the show. Created by Canadian author Mélissa Cardona, “Llama: Adventures in Adventures” is described as a “ biographical and musical show » : « The narrative will pass through humor and tragedy drawn from the rich repertoire of Serge Lama » can we read on the official website of this North American project.
Around fifteen songs by Serge Lama will be used, including his greatest hits: “Je suis Mala”, “Les p’tites femmes de Pigalle” and, of course, “D’aventures enaventures”. Four artists will meet on stage from July 10, 2025 to bring this show to life “ impressionist » authorized by Serge Lama, and to which he collaborated. “ It’s an unexpected project that comes from Quebec… I would like the spectators to be happy when they leave the show, because that’s the goal of all shows! » explained the singer on the official website.
As for the casting, the Canadian actor Eric Paulhus, the Quebec actor and magician Stéphan Côté, the Montreal actress Elizabeth Duperré and the Franco-Canadian singer Gaële are currently announced. You will have understood: to discover this tribute show to the artist, you will have to cross the Atlantic to go to Quebec, in particular to the town of Joliette, which will host the premiere of the play. The troupe will then tour the four corners of Quebec, and will offer several dates, including some in the region’s capital and Montreal.
