Victoria Monfort left France with her husband Hugo Cremaschi and their daughter Nala to settle in Los Angeles. But what was supposed to be the start of a new life under the Californian sun quickly turned into a nightmare. Indeed, the city of angels has been facing destructive fires since January 7 which have already killed 11 people and destroyed more than 10,000 buildings. 150,000 people had to be evacuated.
An arrival under high tension
From January 9, the day of their arrival, the little family found themselves plunged into ambient chaos. Victoria Monfort gave news on Instagram: “Thank you for all your thoughts and messages. My move to Los Angeles and this heartbreaking time are moments I will never forget”. Like many residents, they had to take refuge in the hotel while waiting for a calm. “We are safe in a hotel. I pray for all those who have lost their homes, their memories, their souls”said the actress. Despite this chaotic start, there is no question for the couple to give up their expatriation project. “We won’t leave.”assured Victoria.
The search for housing complicated by the situation
