TF1’s flagship show is enriched with a personality as unexpected as it is prestigious. At 71, Nelson Monfort, emblematic figure of French sports journalism, joins the cast of the fourteenth season of “Dancing with the Stars”.
A legendary journalistic career for Nelson Monfort
A true monument of sports journalism, Nelson Monfort left his mark on several generations with his unique style and his mastery of foreign languages. Since his first steps at the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, where his interview with Carl Lewis remains for him “his strongest memory of his career”, he has covered no less than 16 Olympics and 35 editions of Roland-Garros. His ability to obtain exclusive interviews led him to memorable meetings, such as that with former American President Bill Clinton at Roland Garros in 2001, or with sprinter Michael Johnson at the Atlanta Olympics, just after his record of the historic world over 200 meters. During the recent Paris Games, he was still in the front row to comment on the exploits of our French champions, notably Florent Manaudou and Léon Marchand.
An arrival within the DALS family which seems to delight Jean-Marc Généreux who commented: “Too COOOOOOOL!!!!! You go from the double toe loop to the Paso Doblééé”!
A casting between sport and spectacle for DALS 2025
This season is distinguished by a clever mix of personalities from different worlds. The world of sport is particularly well represented with the presence of three exceptional champions: Florent Manaudou, freshly crowned by his exploits at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Adil Rami, 2018 world champion, and Franck Leboeuf, hero of 1998 who has successfully converted in comedy.
The artistic scene is not left out with the participation of the singer Julie Zenatti and the Jungeli phenomenon, a 17-year-old revelation who marked 2024 with her hit “Little genius“, certified platinum and viewed more than 130 million times on YouTube.
The casting also welcomes varied profiles such as Sophie Davant, historic figure of France Télévisions, Eve Gilles, Miss France 2024, Claude Dartois, the emblematic adventurer of “Koh-Lanta”Lénie from the “Star Academy”, the actress Mayane-Sarah El Baze, seen in “A little something extra”and the actress Charlotte de Turckheim.
A jury of experts always there for DALS
To supervise this new season, TF1 is banking on stability with the return of the proven jury: Jean-Marc Généreux, Fauve Hautot, Mel Charlot and Chris Marques. At the presentation, Camille Combal will continue to orchestrate the evenings with humor.
Although the launch date has not yet been made official by the channel, this fourteenth season is already shaping up to be an exceptional vintage!
