Sylvain Lyve responds to Pierre Chabrier’s accusations and counterattacks strongly

The accusations of Pierre Chabrier

In August 2024, Pierre Chabrier spoke in a 40-minute video, claiming that Sylvain Lyve had told him all taken following the shutdown of their channel in December 2023. According to him, the management of their joint business would have turned to his disadvantagein particular concerning funds and assets such as Multipla, the iconic vehicle of their chain.

Sylvain Lyve’s response

Sylvain Lyve chose to break his silence at the beginning of 2025. He criticizes Pierre for having publicly exposed their differences, thereby provoking negative reactions from their community. This conflict should have been kept privatehe declareswhile denouncing the numerous criticisms he has received since the publication of Pierre’s video.

He also claims that Pierre would have withdrawn all of the funds from their company, making it impossible to pay taxes and other charges. A bank check, according to Sylvain, would still be in Pierre’s possession. Serious accusations therefore.

The conflict around Multipla

The Multipla, Vilebrequin’s emblematic car, is at the heart of the tensions. Sylvain explains that he bought the vehicle for 132,000 euros, fearing that Pierre would sell it without his knowledge, as would have been the case for a Volkswagen Phaeton before. Pierre reportedly considered using Multipla in a personal project called Racebox, a garage bar that he unveiled shortly after his accusations.

A degraded working relationship

Sylvain Lyve also talks about the tense atmosphere in their team, citing in particular the hiring of Pierre’s partner. He describes her as not very involved, which would have created tensions before the end of her contract. Two key moments would also have sealed the break: the GP Explorer 1, where Pierre would have had a bad experience with his performance, and a filming for Top Gear, during which tensions would have reached their peak. The video also reveals other, more sordid aspects concerning Pierre, and is clearly incriminating.

In his video, Sylvain also expresses regret over the turn of events, while affirming that he will never work with Pierre again. Given the tone of the video, it is indeed difficult to see how all this could work out. With more than 1.5 million views in a few hours, the video has reignited the debate among Vilebrequin fans. Pierre Chabrier has, for the moment, not reacted.
