Watch the thrilling trailer for season 3 of the Reacher series on Amazon Prime Video.

Tl;dr

  • Season 3 of Reacher plans more thrilling adventures.
  • The trailer reveals a new villain and a potential love interest for Reacher.
  • The series differs slightly from the book “Persuade”.

Reacher season 3 promises action

Fans of the Reacher series will be delighted to learn that the third season, scheduled for February 20, 2025, promises to be more exciting than ever. The trailer recently released by streaming platform Amazon Prime Video is action-packed and intriguing, with a plethora of explosions, shootouts and car chases.

A new villain and a potential love interest

The Reacher season 3 trailer introduces a new villain, played by Anthony Michael Hall, accompanied by his imposing 2m18 bodyguard, Paulie (played by Olivier Ritchters). The latter even impresses our hero Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) with his physical strength, but not with his intelligence. And that’s not all, Sonya Cassidy will make an appearance as DEA agent Susan Duffy, who even shares a kiss with Reacher. Could a little romance be expected for the former military policeman?

A captivating plot

The series promises to be captivating with a plot that takes Reacher to the heart of a vast criminal enterprise. He tries to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out. The official synopsis from Amazon Prime Video reveals that Reacher finds himself in a world of secrecy and violence, where he must confront unfinished business from his own past.

A free adaptation of the book “Persuade”

It should be noted that the series takes some liberties compared to the book “Persuade” by Lee Child. For example, Frances Neagley (Maria Sten) appears in season 3, although she is not part of the “Persuade” book. Reacher is seen confiding in Neagley on the phone, mentioning the giant Paulie. This new affair therefore promises to be a real challenge for Reacher. However, we have faith in our hero… even in the face of giants.
