Pascal Bataille reveals the cause of his lung cancer

Iconic host of the 1990s and 2000s, Pascal Bataille forms a real duo with Laurent . For a little over a year, he has taken over the show Y’a que la vérité quicompte on C8. However, on December 6, the 64-year-old man made a terrible announcement to his fans. In an Instagram publication, Pascal Bataille announced that he had cancer. “For two or three months, I have been fighting lung cancer. And this fight, I’m sure I’m going to win” he declared in particular. A positive mindset which he still keeps, one month after this announcement.

Pascal Bataille was a “heavy smoker” for almost 20 years

Monday January 6, Pascal Bataille went to the set of Chez Jordan on C8. He thus confided in the probable cause of his lung cancer. “I was a heavy smoker growing up. From the age of 15 to about 24, I smoked a lot. Then I took a break and went back for another eight or nine years intensely” he recalled. For almost 20 years, Pascal Bataille smoked approximately “one and a half packs per day”. Twenty-three years after his decision to quit, this bad habit could have had repercussions on his health. “We cannot say with certainty that this cancer that I developed in 2024 is due to cigarettes, but there are strong presumptions that it has something to do with it.” (…)
