Host Stéphane Plaza must appear this Thursday, January 9 before the Paris Criminal Court to be tried for “domestic violence”. According to his lawyer, Me Hélène Plumet, to CNEWS, the person concerned would be present at the hearing.
This Thursday, January 9, host Stéphane Plaza is expected before the Paris criminal court as part of his trial which opens today for “domestic violence”. The hearing, which will take place in the court’s 10th criminal chamber, is scheduled to begin at 1:30 p.m.
And as Me Hélène Plumet, one of Stéphane Plaza’s lawyers, indicated to CNEWS on January 3, the star host of M6 should be present this Thursday at his trial after having been deemed fit to appear in court by psychological expertise.
Aged 54, Stéphane Plaza should have been tried in August. However, the host did not appear at the hearing, due, according to the defense, to “psychological fragilities”. During his trial today, he will be judged for “habitual physical and/or psychological violence by a partner”. The events would have taken place between 2018 and 2022 on Amandine, a former campaign.

In addition, Stéphane Plaza will also be judged for “habitual psychological violence by a partner” against another former partner, Paola. The facts would have taken place between 2021 and 2022. Note that, for the two complainants, a total incapacity for work (ITT) of more than eight days was established.
In this case, the M6 host faces ten years in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros. He disputes the facts and his lawyers should request acquittal. According to them, Stéphane Plaza will show “his two accusers that building revenge through lies will not lead to any conviction.”
Relaxed on air, the M6 host also maintains an apparent closeness with his fans on Instagram, where he discussed his alcohol problems. But he never talks about his private life. The channel, with which he is committed until 2028, also refused to indicate whether filming of its shows is continuing.
