Like every year, the Journal du Dimanche (JDD) reveals the result of its highly anticipated ranking which ranks the fifty favorite personalities of the French.
It is a highly anticipated meeting. Every year, at the end of December or beginning of January, the Sunday Journal (JDD) in partnership with Ifoppublishes the ranking of the survey carried out which aims to classify in order the 50 favorite personalities of the French.
This Sunday, January 5, 2025, the 2024 ranking delivered its results between unbeatable, dazzling progressions and surprises.

The first 5
The French swimmer from Toulouse, quadruple medalist at the Paris Olympic Games, completes the Top 5. Teddy Riner makes a spectacular progression from 17th place to 3rd. Omar Sy, 4th in 2023, arrives after the unbeatable Jean-Jacques Goldman.
Florent Pagny moves from second to fourth place.

Seven personalities from Occitanie in the ranking
The 2024 ranking gives pride of place to athletes and in particular Olympic medalists. Swimmer Léon Marchand enters the list for the first time and takes fifth place directly. He owes this meteoric rise in particular to his incredible record during the Paris 2024 Olympic Games with four Olympic medals won. Ditto for the French XV player Antoine Dupont who won an Olympic title in rugby sevens. Ditto for the Lebrun brothers who made French ping-pong shine.
Other personalities, the Aveyron chef Cyril Lignac, the Gard singer Julien Doré and the actress based in Gard, Alexandra Lamy, ex-wife of the actor Jean Dujardin.

The policies
In 2023, for the first time, the ranking included a political figure in the Top 30.
Indeed, the young president of the National Rally, Jordan Bardellaarrived in 30e position. The best place so far for a personality from the political world was 35th place achieved in 2022 by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macronwhich does not appear in the 2024 ranking.
Bardella made a spectacular comeback and took 10th place. He is followed by Marine Le Pen in 11th place. The third step on the political podium is surprising and positions Philippe de Villiers in 60th place.
The strongest progression
The biggest increase in the 2024 rankings goes to actor Pierre Niney. He takes twenty-two places in the ranking and climbs to 27th place. It owes its popularity, in particular, to the Count of Monte Cristo, which at the cinema in 2024, is, with “Un p’tit truc en plus”, one of the films which records the most admissions.
