“Thank you for this incredible wave of love. Happy New Year!!!,” wrote Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge in his most recent Instagram post showing the underside of the famous Meubles RD end-of-year advertisement.

Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge did not react to the sketch of the Bye Bye 2024 in which the actress Guylaine Tremblay parodied him by making bad taste jokes while walking in the woods. Which was a reference to the controversy surrounding a racist video that the actor filmed in the forest last March and which caused him to lose all his contracts.
Instead, he thanked his admirers for the “incredible wave of love” following the broadcast of the Meubles RD advertisement in which he was found in the company of comedian Jérémy Demay.
Because if many negative comments about him continue to invade social networks, almost a year after the controversy, there are also several kind messages that have been left by fans under the actor’s recent publications.

The Meubles RD advertisement – which was to be presented during the Bye Byebut which - refused to broadcast – shows Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge using self-deprecation in the company of Jérémy Demay. The latter, who has been a spokesperson for the company for several years, explains to the actor that he was hired for his great availability and above all because he “doesn’t cost really, really cheap”.
The behind-the-scenes clip shows Guillaume Lemay-Thivierge laughing between takes. We even hear him declare “that’s funny” as he shakes hands with people around him, all smiles.
