On January 15, Cécile de France will be back in theaters starring in Par Amour, a film by Élise Otzenberger. The pitch? “Sarah and Antoine are on the verge of breaking up, weakened by an overloaded daily life, between work and their two children. One day, Simon, the eldest, confides to his mother that he hears voices. If Antoine struggles to understand the problem, Sarah decides to support her son. How far will she be willing to go for love?. On this occasion, the rather discreet actress gave an interview to our Madame Figaro sisters on Friday December 27. The actress speaks about her choice to remain discreet
“JHe considers myself as an artist above all, not as a public figure”, she began by confiding, specifying that she is inspired by the actress Tilda Swinton, whom she considers to be her role model in terms of acting. Cécile de France then explained that she was afraid of showing too much. In fact, she clarified to Madame Figaro that if she “revealed too much, [elle] would be afraid that the directors would no longer be able [la] dream in their character”. For her, this discretion allows her to “remain as a blank page or raw material to be able to take on many different roles.”
She spoke about her absence on the web and declared: “I quickly felt the danger of being exposed to it. For her, being an actress “is already a very narcissistic and very self-oriented function”, therefore useless in his eyes to “show off on social networks”, car “it’s an abyss”, which frightens him. “Instagram is a job, it takes a lot of time, I prefer to keep mine for something else.” she concluded on this point.
