Stéphane Plaza comes out of silence and says he is “still standing” before his trial

The host, who must be tried on January 9 at the court for violence against two of his former companions, spoke on Instagram to thank his supporters.

Discreet since his absence from his trial on August 28 for reasons of “mental health”, the host Stéphane Plaza, tried for violence against two former companions, came out of the silence on Instagram to send a message to his supporters during this “difficult year”.

“I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your unwavering support throughout this year. It has been difficult, but thanks to you, I am still standing,” he said in a post published in story and which is no longer online.

“To my friends, as well as to all the people I don't know but who send me their good vibes, whether on Instagram or at the corner of a street: you have given me immense strength. Your smiles , your words have lit up my heart forever,” added the real estate agent in his message relayed by Magazine.

“My silence is necessary”

Targeted by an investigation by the Paris prosecutor's office since October 2023Stéphane Plaza is accused of having exercised physical and moral violence on two of his former partners.

The former “favorite host of the French” is accused of having exercised physical and psychological violence on two of his former companions between August 2018 and September 2022. They were issued with a total incapacity for work of ten days each.

Expected at the Paris court on August 28, the star television host and real estate agent did not appear at the hearing for “mental health” reasons. The trial was therefore postponed until January 9, 2025. Since then, Stéphane Plaza has remained very discreet.

“My silence can resonate and challenge, but it is necessary to allow justice, in which I have total confidence, to do its work on January 9,” he added in his post on Instagram.

The host, who disputes the facts with which he has been accused since the start of the case, faces a sentence of ten years in prison and a fine of 150,000 euros.
