the last moments of Maïté, who died at 86, revealed

Millions of French people are in mourning… An emblematic figure of television, Maïté, whose real name is Marie-Thérèse Ordonez, is known to the general public in particular for having hosted the cooking shows La cuisine des mousquetaires and À table. In 2023, the Actu Landes site indicated that the famous cook was “suffering from a neurodegenerative disease” and that she now resided in an EHPAD. A year later, it was on the night of Friday December 20 to Saturday December 21, 2024 that Maïté died at the age of 86 in a nursing home located in Rion-des-Landes, in the Landes. Sunday December 22, 2024, on BFMTV, Laurent Civel, the mayor of this town, declared: “We were painfully surprised to learn of the disappearance of Maïté who was our ambassador in and well beyond. […] She obviously wanted to be in her commune and to end her entire life journey in Rion-des-Landes. She embodied the values ​​of the Landes department and its quality of life. Besides, there are more and more of us in this department. So, that means that his message really got through.” Moved, he clarified that Maïté was always in a good mood: “Every time there was a song, someone singing at EPHAD, then automatically, Maïté took the chorus, and with her stentorian voice, created an atmosphere of madness. All the inhabitants of my town mourn the disappearance of this great lady.”
