The Schumacher family is growing! Ginathe daughter of Michael Schumacher and of Corinnapreparing to become a mother as she confided on Instagram on December 21, 2024. In the caption of several photos of one of her ponies surrounded by pink balloons and wearing a crown revealing the imminent arrival of a baby, she wrote: “Impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl” (“We are impatiently awaiting the arrival of our little girl.” in French, editor's note). Magnificent news as the end of year holidays approach for the Schumacher clan. This will be the first granddaughter of the former racing driver and his wife Corinna. As a reminder , their daughter Gina married Ian Bethke in September 2024 in Majorca. Very happy to soon become an uncle, Mick wrote in the comments of this publication: “So excited” with a heart emoji.
Mick Shumacher soon to be married to Laila?
For his part, Mick could also soon marry Laila, his sweetheart for more than a year according to the magazine Bild. According to them, Laila has already been able to visit her father-in-law Michael (55) and would be very well integrated into the Schumacher family. As a reminder, the Formula 1 legend was the victim of a serious skiing accident at the end of 2013 in Savoie and has not been seen in public since. No information has been released on his state of health. The family was, however, the subject of blackmail, with certain relatives being part of a well-established scheme to try to extort money from the wealthy family.
Interviewed during a Netflix documentary intended for Schumacher, his wife Corinna confided: “I didn't blame God for what happened. It's always terrible to say why us? Why Michael? But why does this also happen to others? I miss him every day. But he is there. He's different, but he's there, and that gives us strength. We are together, we live together at home. He is undergoing treatment. We do everything to improve his condition and make him feel like our family, our bond.“. There is no doubt that the birth of his granddaughter will bring balm to the heart of the former F1 champion.
