Small village, great moment of sharing and cinematography Thursday evening at the village hall for the Ciné-village session with the presence of director Florent Bernard who came to present his film “Nous les Leroy” (600,000 admissions, 4th at the “Box office” from the first week of operation!). Around forty people braved the bad weather, it's true that the poster was attractive with the presence of a currently popular film director.
Two representatives from the Ciné-Villages Federation made the trip for this exceptional session.
For about an hour, Florent Bernard above all wanted to establish contact with the public and not just hold the microphone exclusively.
A character of great simplicity, very accessible, he enchanted the audience with all his anecdotes about the filming of this film. From the very professional spirit of José Garcia, thus contradicting his reputation as a friendly troublemaker who was difficult to manage, to Charlotte Gainsbourg, an actress whom he portrayed as very sensitive and, strangely for an actress, quite shy but whom he loved directing. The director delighted the audience with all his revelations behind the scenes of a shoot. Many questions also focused on areas that are not usually addressed, such as the role of the producer and distributors. In short, the curiosity of the spectators was satisfied and warm applause for this friendly and approachable director concluded the evening.
As it should be, a few days before Christmas, the Mary-Mont Saint Vincent festival committee wanted to end this exceptional session by offering a small reception to all those present.
