Guest on NRJ Belgium this Thursday, December 19, Baptiste Lecaplain returned to the day when he thought of Guillaume Bats to take on a character with a particular physique which will help him participate in the Impossible duets by Jérémy Ferrari.
Figures of the comedy scene of the last fifteen years, Jérémy Ferrari, Arnaud Tsamère, and Baptiste Lecaplain have found success individually with shows that made all of France laugh. But the public especially remembers these two years during which they formed a trio, in 2012 and 2013. The first of the lot launched a duo concept which made millions of spectators and Internet users laugh. His two other friends have, for their part, given in to the numerous demands of their fans, very recently as they explained on NRJ Belgium.

This Thursday morning, the trio, who are going back on tour in a few weeks, spoke about the genesis of this new project, coming to fruition ten years after the first shows together. Jérémy Ferrari reveals that there was a craze when the three of them started doing sketches again in Impossible duets. “Everyone told us: ‘Ah finally, the trio!’. We didn’t really understand where it came from. because this show had worked very well but there had never been any capture. It had stopped [il y a] five years, but we never did it again. It took a few years to get there, but we got there“specifies the very enthusiastic 39-year-old comedian.

Baptiste Lecaplain remembers being “terrorized” before performing in Impossible duetswhile his friend absolutely wanted him in a sketch. But the actor had no inspiration. He then thought of another friend… “And I had an idea. If Guillaume Bats comes with us, I would like us to do something like The Hunchback of Notre Dame“he declared without much certainty to Jérémy Ferrari. The latter himself was not very convinced. “I don’t know where we’re going but I like the idea.”he responds spontaneously. However, this is how one of the most well-known and viewed paintings was born – 5 million views – on the comedy gala’s YouTube channel. “It was an incredible memory on stage“admits Baptiste Lecaplain, undoubtedly still thinking of his deceased colleague.
