Thomas Sotto makes his big return to M6 ten years after his departure: his new project revealed

The love story between M6 and Thomas Sotto ended in 2014. But surprise, ten years later, the journalist who works on RTL (for the morning show alongside Amandine Bégot) is making his comeback as announced our colleagues from Puremédias.

It was in 2011 that Thomas Sotto joined the M6 ​​team. He succeeded Guy Lagage in the presentation of Capital. A role that he held until 2014, while working on Europe 1 (2013-2017). He was also part of The political show and as of 2021 he co-presented Telematin with Julia Vignali. A program that he carried out until last year. His departure was announced as rumors about his off-air behavior circulated. “I’m not perfect. Have I hurt people once or twice? Maybe. But this is not at all a generalization, it does not reflect reality. I found this extremely hurtful and very unfair. My door is always open. I am surprised by the method which consists of telling things under cover of anonymity“, he reacted to AFP last spring.

Return to M6 for Thomas Sotto with a shocking project

Despite everything, this did not stop him from continuing to pursue his passion. Currently, RTL listeners can listen to it every morning with Amandine Bégot. A collaboration that allows him to make his comeback on M6. The station in fact belongs to the same group, he was then offered to present a documentary on the 2015 attacks called 2015 attacks, what binds uswhich will be broadcast on January 6. This production by Agnès Pizzini and Claire Denavarre will be broadcast on the occasion of the 10 years of commemorations of the attacks. The public will be able to hear testimonies from victims or witnesses, such as that of Riss, survivor of the Charlie Hebdo shooting. Political figures in power at the time of the events (François Hollande in particular) also agreed to give themselves up.

The second part of the evening, viewers will be able to follow Charlie Hebdo, Hyper Kosher: The three days that shook Francea documentary by Thomas Reboulleau and Jérémie Sokr. As M6 clarified to Puremédias, Thomas Sotto will speak at the start of the evening to “contextualize” the broadcast of the documentary. However, there will be no set with guests.
