François Bayrou became Prime Minister after the motion of censure against the government of Michel Barnier. And he is already facing controversy for traveling by private jet to the Pau city council, where he is mayor.

And in particular a video dating from 2002 where we see him slapping a child. “You won’t pick your pockets” he says to a young boy as he was preparing to hold a political meeting in Strasbourg, as a candidate in the presidential election, at the time.
In prison for drug trafficking
A few days ago, journalists from BFMTV in Alsace found traces of this young boy. At the time, he was 11 years old. The latter’s name is Yacine G. and is currently in prison for trafficking heroin and cocaine.
In 2012, he received a four-month prison sentence for contempt and violence against the police. In 2020, his name is involved in a drug case linking Strasbourg and the Netherlands. After investigation, the police got their hands on 8 kilos of heroin and 1 kilo of cocaine were seized. Several arrests take place but Yacine G, manages to escape and begins a long run.
The young man was finally arrested in 2021. In 2022, the trial took place and Yacine G was sentenced to ten years in prison as well as a fine of 10,000 euros.
François Bayrou: expected on his government and in Mayotte
For his part, François Bayrou is in the process of appointing his government. While he has already discussed this subject this Tuesday midday, with Emmanuel Macron, the two men will meet again during the evening to discuss again the Ministers he wishes to have at his side.
Guest on the set of France 2 on the occasion ofa special program on MayotteFrançois Bayrou assured that he would go there as soon as his government was appointed. “As soon as the President of the Republic has left Mayotte, and the government has been formed, I will obviously go to mobilize all of the State’s resources.” he declared. Emmanuel Macron must go there on Thursday.
