From TV clash to court. Cyril Hanouna and Louis Boyard will meet on Tuesday, December 17, before the Criminal Court. At the end of 2022, the star host of C8 had copiously insulted the deputy of insoumise on the set of the show Don't touch my post!.

In November 2022, the young rebellious Louis Boyard has been a deputy for a few months, guest on the show Don't touch my post! to talk about the refugee issue. But the man who himself was a columnist for the show took advantage of his presence on C8 to criticize billionaire Vincent Bolloré, owner of the channel, whose business affairs in Cameroon are the subject of several legal proceedings.

The questioning of Cyril Hanouna's boss provokes the anger of the host: “Me, let me explain, I come here, I do my job and I entertain people every evening and I talk to them about the news.” “No, you're not doing your jobLouis Boyard retorts. You're protecting your boss.” “You, you're a piece of shit, you come here, you act smart, you're a piece of shit”, replies Cyril Hanouna.

Prosecuted for public insults against a deputy, Cyril Hanouna pleads error of interpretation and a familiarity that he maintains with all his former collaborators. He risks a fine of 12,000 euros and 8,000 euros in damages.

A grain of sand compared to the 3.5 million euros fine already imposed on the C8 channel by Arcom at the start of 2023 for “violation of the guest's rights” et “lack of control of its antenna”. A sanction confirmed by the Council of State and which the Canal + group and Cyril Hanouna have never digested. Note that Cyril Hanouna also filed a complaint in this case for defamation against MP Louis Boyard. The trial is expected to take place at the end of 2025.
