Miss Corsica Stella Vangioni does not regret her response on climate change, and has fun with it

ENTERTAINMENT – She did not win the crown and sash of Miss France 2025, but still made an impression on TF1 viewers. Stella Vangioni, Miss Corsica, was questioned at the end of the show about climate change. A question which temporarily left her speechless in front of the jurors and Jean-Pierre Foucault, which did not fail to be noted by Internet users.

Stella Vangioni finally finished on the 3rd step of the podium and received the title of 2nd runner-up behind Miss France Angélique Angarni-Filopon and the 1st runner-up Sabah Aïb, Miss Nord-Pas-de-Calais. She confided in a long interview with Morning run on his feelings after the election, published this Sunday, December 15. The opportunity to return in particular to the sequence which caused a lot of reaction from Internet users on social networks the previous evening.

While there were only 5 candidates left vying for the title, Miss France 1970, Micheline Beaurain, questioned Stella Vangioni. “ As Miss France, how would you use your voice to raise awareness among the French about the challenges linked to climate change? » To which Miss Corsica initially responded with a long blank and several embarrassed smiles.

Then she gave her answer “You know, like many things in life, I think it all starts with education. It is through education that we can raise awareness among younger generations about this subject, which is so important because we only have one planet. Let's preserve it, we are not alone, thank you. »

This response and the blank which preceded it were widely commented on on X in particular. Some Internet users recognized the “ difficulty » of this question compared to those asked of the other candidates. Others were amused by his reaction, or even by the apparent simplicity of his response.

Miss Corsica's response

In an interview with our colleagues from Morning runStella Vangioni was therefore questioned about this response. The young woman explained that she did not regret her comments. “ It was not easy knowing that we are not allowed to talk about politics. I didn't want to infantilize the French by telling them 'Sort carefully, don't buy fast fashion’. What I said is that it all starts with education. »

Stella Vangioni also made it clear that the environment was a subject on which she was aware, being at the origin of the eco-responsible swimwear brand Umanu Swimwear. I do a lot of research, and with the notoriety of Miss France, I think we can raise people's awareness by directing them to good, well-sourced articles. I could also have talked about my brand, because my swimsuits are made from recycled plastics, but this was not the time! ».

In any case, Stella Vangioni clearly has no resentment about this question, nor the numerous reactions it subsequently aroused on social networks. The next day, she re-shared in a story on her Instagram account one of the many memes born from her reaction.
