Sylviane Bernardini was born in 1957 in Normandy and has lived in Saulxures-sur-Moselotte for several years. This visual artist has not followed any academic course and asserts her independence and autonomy at all costs.
Since a young age, she has been passionate about drawing, a passion passed on by her father. Over the years, his thirst for creativity encouraged him to explore other forms of expression.
This is how she tried watercolor, oil, then acrylic. A passion for painting that she has just devoted to the sculptures of the Château de Saulxures-sur-Moselotte.
The 4 seasons support the rear facade of the castle Two atlanteans at the ends represented spring and winter and two caryatids in the center for summer and autumn. Four works by the sculptor Georges Clère, the decorator of Napoleon III’s New Louvre. They bear witness, through the vigor of their workmanship, to the ambition and quality of an exemplary residence of the Second Empire.
The main work by Sylviane Bernardini illuminates the main room of the pizzeria of the castle which acquired it. All his works can also be discovered in this restaurant where they are offered for sale.
