The presence of “Papa Situations”, the father of Lena Situations, delighted the fans present at the opening of the influencer's Parisian pop up store.
At 29 rue Bichat, this Friday, December 13, there is excitement. Hundreds of fans came, sometimes from far away, to be present for the opening of the “post office box”, the new pop up from influencer Lena Situations.
Indeed, the “Hôtel Mahfouf” brand, a name chosen in reference to the videographer’s last name, was launched in the summer of 2022. With a simple concept: unveil a new pop up store once or twice a year. After the “Room service”, the “Chalet“, the “Pool” and “the camp”, the Mahfouf Hotel is therefore unveiling a new piece in collaboration with Tinder: the “Postal Box”.

To the delight of visitors, it is possible, as every year, to eat, buy new pieces from the Hotel's clothing collection or sit down with friends to chat. And this year, something new: fans can write a letter to themselves and post it in order to receive it next year.
But what caused a sensation was the presence of Léna and her loved ones, as well known as she was to her fans. The web star finally came accompanied by her friends, Solène and Marcus, but especially her father.
The influencer's community knows him under the nickname “Papa situations”. “Dad Situations, can we take a photo?”, “would you be ok for a selfie?”, fans tirelessly ask. For several minutes, Karim Mahfouf takes photos with the visitors, does not hesitate to give them hugs or write them a little note.
“It’s always a joy to be there,” he smiles to Tech&Co. “I am very proud. And also happy to see that there are people there and that they are always there. There are two hundred people waiting in the cold. It's extraordinary the love of community of Lena.”
Indeed, “Papa Situations” is never far from his daughter. He regularly appears in the videos of the influencer with 4.7 million subscribers on Instagram or in her famous August vlogs which made her success. During confinement, the YouTuber also had fun sharing her father's cartoons on X, ex-Twitter, all inspired by current events.

At the same time, the influencer's father is often present to support his daughter during public events, such as during the inauguration of the statue of Lena Situations at the Grévin museum on December 4. He never misses one of his birthdays or the opening of yet another pop-up store.
It must be said that the patriarch does not sulk so proudly. “I don’t know what will stop it. And then, why stop it in particular,” he says.
“She started when she was 20, she is 27 today. I couldn’t imagine when she started that she would end up there,” notes Karim Mahfouf. “Léon Marchand's parents, when they saw their kid swimming in the pool, they didn't know that he was going to win four gold medals ten years later.”
“I discovered the world of YouTube thanks to Léna,” enthuses Papa Situations. Karim Mahfouf, actor and designer, has also published a comic strip, simply titled Papa Situationsin which he talks about his sudden fame and his daily life as the father of a YouTuber. “This world is the 21st century. It seems very simple like that, YouTube. But it’s real work,” he concludes, with the hope of deconstructing the clichés about this profession.
