An anecdote told by a former teacher.
The facts date back to 2002. On August 31, viewers discovered the promotion for season 2. They notably met Nolwenn Leroy (the big winner), Emma Daumas, Aurélie Konaté, Houcine and even Georges-Alain. Everyone joined the adventure in the hope of improving their singing, dancing or theater skills. At the time, Alexia Laroche-Joubert was the director. And among the teachers was Kamel Ouali. A teacher very appreciated by the students. So, when a crisis situation arose, the CEO of Banijay France called on the dancer/choreographer.
Kamel Ouali called to the rescue to convince two candidates

I told them that it was unique, that it was only once in their lives. I told them what I thought from the heart. I told them: 'The door is open, you can break out if you want. Although they did not win the adventure, we imagine that the two candidates did not regret having ultimately stayed (even if we imagine that Georges-Alain would have done well without his performance on The Ketchup Song) . Houcine reached the final against Nolwenn Leroy. His friend had managed to reach the semi-final.
