Aya Nakamura and Santa in Nicoletta's crosshairs

Nicoletta never hesitated to speak her mind. And it is not at 80 that the interpreter of We have Blue will change personality. She has just proven it this Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Buzz du Figaro.

Indeed, the singer answered questions from Sarah Lecoeuvre and Damien Canivez. The latter wanted to obtain their guest's opinion on the young generation of artists. The opportunity for Nicoletta to say everything she thought about Zaho de Sagazan, Santa, or even Aya Nakamura.

Zaho de Sagazan much appreciated by Nicoletta

Three singers that she totally validates and appreciates. Especially the first. “She is very inspired by François Hardy. She's cute, she does her songs. I'm crazy about his voice, it's Zaho from Sagazan. She is awesome“, she assured our colleagues.

Afterwards, Nicoletta expressed her admiration for Santa although she asked him to “calm down”. “Why does she have to calm down, Santa? Is she moving a lot?”then retorted Sarah Lecoeuvre in order to know the reason for this “disappointment”.

In fact, the 80-year-old singer explained that she found the singer of the group Hyphen Hyphen “too energetic”. Despite everything, she recognizes that Santa has a “a very beautiful voice, she sings very well”. “There are lots of them that I like, I like a lot”she added.

The 80-year-old singer doesn't appreciate Aya Nakamura's “certain gestures”

Nevertheless, even if the interpreter of We have Blue ensures to appreciate “a lot” of singers, Sarah Lecoeuvre reminded her that she had not minced her words about Aya Nakamura and her performance during the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games.

“Yes, but I was right”she admitted before recalling: “I did not criticize his singing, nor his nature as an artist”. Indeed, Nicoletta defends herself by indicating that she “criticized certain gestures she makes on stage”.

It's personal. I am from a generation that is bothered by this. It's a question of generation, ultimately. It's aimed a lot at young people, but it doesn't amuse me.”recognizes the 80-year-old artist before however recognizing that Aya Nakamura remains “a hell of a figurehead”.

“Now, she makes me smile. I admit, with happiness, it makes me laugh. But she sometimes has gestures, she could do without them”she finally concluded, despite everything admiring the talent of the 29-year-old singer.
