Robertine Laura Ferjules crowned Miss Black Beauty 2024-2025

Laura Ferjules, the No. 1 candidate, was crowned, Saturday evening (November 30, 2024), Miss Black Beauty 2025 at the Reprise space in Rivière salée. During an elective show including several paintings staged by the creator Yves Gérard, 9 beauty ambassadors engaged in an expressive contest of elegance and creativity, in front of a jury of personalities.

They were present at the Reprise space in Rivière Salée in order to win the supreme title Miss Black Beauty. At the end of a magnificent and magical evening with a “Black Panther” opening, the tone of the event was set for the choice of a beauty queen which was proving difficult.

The second table show of beach wear favoring beachwear demonstrated that this competition created by Yves Gérard maintains its guiding principle of promoting the image of black women, their physical beauty and their intellectual qualities.

The theme of the candidates remains the key to performances and creation. Each contender had the difficult task of presenting a theme on the black world as a whole by bringing into play key events, history, tradition, culture and current events.

Laura presented “Maman d'lo” demonstrating the importance of tradition in the construction of the individual. Élisa highlighted Joséphine Baker's struggle in the recognition of black women.

Other themes were presented such as “Case-Nègre Street” highlighting the work of Joseph Zobel and the cinematographic work of Euzhann Palcy, or that of Claudia telling “the story of Rosa Park” waging a fight against segregation .

This 39th edition highlighted the creativity of the 9 contenders. The final stretch before the final results was rich. We had an artistic comma with Dave.

Then the tableau finalwas the evening outfit which allowed us to admire once again the elegance, the haughty bearing and the proud gait of the candidates.

The moment was eagerly awaited, the predictions were decided between candidates no. 1 and 2. At the end of a close fight, Laura Ferjules is crowned Miss Black Beauty 2024-2025. Originally from Robert, she is 18 years old and is studying for a degree in art.

Her 1st runner-up is 23 years old. Candidate No. 2, Berardine Mardé is from François.

His second runner-up her name is Claudia Lery and represents Gros Morne. The public vote was added to the jury's scores for the election.

As for the prizes, those for modeling and theme went to Laura Ferjules. Those of photogenics, SMS and Facebook voting in Bérardine.

The Conviviality Prize was awarded to Leila n°7 originating of the Holy Spirit and the jury's favorite was Amara, the youngest n°10.

I'm happy, we succeeded. I thank all partners for their contribution. From now on, our Competition opens to the Caribbean. In the past we did it during the first editions. Today, we will welcome the communities who live on our soil. This edition was a very good vintage.
