This makes now 20 years that the show Meet in unknown land exists. Initially launched on France 5, the program was moved to France 2 in 2006, in order to reach a larger audience. For those who don't know, it's a show in which a personality discovers a region or a country at the same time as the viewers. Often, Meet in unknown land highlights people whose culture and traditions are threatened.
The celebrity only discovers his destination once he is on board the plane. A real challenge therefore, which Tomer Sisley has agreed to take up, who will be the guest of the next issue of Meet in unknown land. It's the Dolpo, a magnificent region but little known, which the actor will discover.

It is a true initiatory journey, outside of time, which awaits the actor. And at more than 4,500 m altitudehe will meet Dolpo-pa families with shocking destinies. Winter here lasts six months. A particularly harsh winter. But, in September, these high altitude valleys are adorned with green and gold, the color of barley fields ready to be harvested“.

Tomer Sisley wanted to return to a specific moment of his journeywhich unfortunately will not be shown on screen. It describes how the people living in this region make their goat cheese. A very… muscular way of doing things! “Manufacturing is very physically demanding. (…) Since then, my approach to trouble has changed a little”he laughs, very admiring of this self-sacrifice.
