Dolph Lundgren has just announced big news regarding his health: he has overcome liver cancer, which he suffered from for many years. Enough to delight many cinema personalities, especially those with whom he had the opportunity to collaborate.
Dolph Lundgren's fight against cancer did not fail to inspire many actors. They notably offered him their support via messages. One of them stands out: that of Chuck Norris.
In his message posted on Instagram, the actor, who notably took part in the action films “Rocky 4 (1985), “Expendables: Special Unit” (2010), “Universal Soldier” (1992) and “Expend4bles” (2023), addresses his community before a final operation: “That’s it. I'm going to get rid of my last dead part of tumor, I can't wait to be completely cancer free. This is an ablation of the lung. It was a long process and taught me to live in the moment and appreciate life. It's the only way to be! See you soon.”
The actor received congratulations from many personalities such as Terry Crews, Scott Adkins and rapper Busta Rhymes. But the reaction that stands out is that of his friend Chuck Norris: “Wonderful news. So happy to hear that, Dolph. God bless you.”
The two men rubbed shoulders on the set of “Expendables 2: Special Unit” (2012), where Chuck Norris played the role of Booker, and Dolph Lundgren played the role of Gunnar Jensen. They then became friends.
Dolph Lundgren has come a long way in his fight against cancer: in 2015, he first suffered from a kidney tumor, for which he underwent surgery. In 2020, a major complication caused him to experience pain due to acid reflux. A large liver tumor was then detected and specialists gave him only three years to live. Dolph Lundgren can therefore boast of having defied all predictions.
