Kanye West fans are up in arms after the release of his new music video for the song “Bomb,” from his album “Vultures 2” with Ty Dolla $ign.
A disappointing return. In the midst of legal turmoil, Kanye West revealed this Thursday, November 28 a new clip for his song “Bomb”, highlighting his two daughters, North West (11 years old) and Chicago (6 years old), born from his union with Kim Kardashian. The images quickly sparked outrage on social media.
In the video, the two girls appear behind the wheel of futuristic vehicles, pursued by cartoon creatures in a post-apocalyptic desert. Rapper Yuno Miles also makes an appearance, masked, during a frantic chase. North raps in rudimentary Japanese, while his younger sister has a verse about enjoying “having fun” and “going to the beach.” Kanye West himself remains absent from the clip, although he is present vocally on the track.
Virulent criticism
A few hours after the unexpected release, the images sparked heated controversy on social networks. Many netizens said the presence of children in such a production is inappropriate, while others mocked the visuals, which they suspect were generated by Artificial Intelligence. On Reddit, a virulent comment declares: “It must be AI, it’s insane! Kanye was already using his children for his music, but here he is taking a step forward with a clip entirely made by an AI.
Furthermore, critics also focused on the role of young girls in the clip. “His music is not suitable for children. He made her learn Japanese just for that? This is a shame,” one user wrote, while another commented: “Kanye ridiculing his own daughters is deplorable.”
This controversy comes as Kanye West, who now calls himself Ye, is facing several lawsuits. His former assistant, Lauren Pisciotta, accuses him of having raped her during a party organized by Diddy. In another federal case, he is being prosecuted for allegedly strangling and gagging former “America’s Next Top Model” contestant Jenn An until she passed out.
