Thiago Messi, mixed but notable debut
A player as gifted as Lionel Messi was bound to pass on his passion for football to his first child. Thiago Messi was lulled by the sound of his father's collective and personal victories, to the point of wanting to try his hand on the green rectangle himself. During the “Newell's Cup” tournament held in Rosario, Messi, aged 12, took to the pitch with a youth team from Inter Miami. If the latter lost against the youngsters of Newell's Old Boys, Thiago knew how to put himself forward by performing some nice technical gestures which are reminiscent of his father.
Lionel Messi was not present in the stands to watch the match, but Antonella Roccuzzo, Thiago's mother, as well as his grandparents Jorge and Celia, were there. He still has a lot of time ahead of him before he is sure he wants to pursue a football career. However, he will have all the weapons with him to move in this direction. Even more so if he has a talent similar to that of his father.
