An investigation is underway after the discovery on Saturday of the lifeless body in his Paris apartment of Ari Boulogne, who claimed to be the son of actor Alain Delon, and a person is in police custody for failure to assist a person in danger, indicated the Paris prosecutor’s office, confirming information from the Parisian.
The daily affirms that the person in police custody “would be his companion”.
The investigation aims in particular to “clarify the circumstances in which the death of the victim, who was hemiplegic”, may have occurred, according to the prosecution. The body was found at the home of the 60-year-old man in the 15th arrondissement.
Alain Delon has always disputed the claims of paternity recognition of Ari Boulogne, who was raised and then adopted by the actor’s own mother.
Sunday evening, his son Anthony Delon posted a message of condolence on his Instagram account: “Rest in peace, Ari. A tragic destiny. Sadness. A thought this evening for his two children”.

He is the son of Nico
Born in August 1962, Ari Boulogne, whose real name is Christian Boulogne, photographer by profession, has always considered himself the son of Alain Delon and the German singer Nico, which the glory of French cinema has always denied.
Alain Delon had a brief affair with Ari’s mother, nicknamed “the Garbo of punk”, supermodel, singer, actress and soon to be muse of Lou Reed’s Velvet Underground.
Ari, as a child, was raised by the actor’s mother, Edith Boulogne, whose name he bears and who officially adopted him with her husband.
He had filed a request for recognition of paternity before the court of Orleans, but the French justice had declared itself incompetent because of the place of residence of the star, located in Switzerland.
“The current procedure will stop and the file will be closed. Alain Delon had consistently challenged this paternity,” the actor’s lawyer, Me Christophe Ayela, told AFP.
A book in 2001
Ari recounted his chaotic life, dominated by an absence, that of the father, in a book published in 2001 (“Love never forgets”).
Nico, his mother, got involved in the cinema of Andy Warhol or Philippe Garrel, making her son appear in several films. Singer on the first album of the American rock group The Velvet Underground released in 1967, she then led a solo career for twenty years.
As a teenager, Ari joined her on her tours and plunged with her into drugs and an “artistic fairyland” that took them to many countries.
After Nico’s death in 1988, Ari Boulogne had made several stays in a psychiatric hospital and rehab.
