Patrick Sébastien remembers his love story with Marie Myriam, and why they never had children

For two years, Patrick Sébastien and Marie Myriam lived a beautiful romance. It was a deception that made the couple decide to separate. On the C8 set, the former host reveals that they could have been parents.

Patrick Sébastien is a liberated man. He does not hesitate to open up about his sex life and libertinism, since his separation from his partner Nathalie. The man of the stage began his love life very early by marrying Martine at only 17 years old. At the time, the couple started their family with a little Sébastien, who died at the age of 19 from a motorcycle accident. Their romance will not last and the couple decide to divorce. In 1978, he became engaged to the woman who won the Eurovision contest, Marie Myriam. For two years, they experience true happiness until she discovers that the stage man is cheating on her. “We had a great story and I was her first man, which is important for a woman”recalls Patrick Sébastien on the set of Jordan Deluxe, this Tuesday, November 26. But he wants to reestablish the truth about their separation, he is not the only one responsible for their breakup.

“When we separated, there was already someone in her life, Michel who became her husband. He was the one who had a little doubt about what I was doing, but that’s the game”confides Patrick Sébastien, who experienced a major bout of blues after their breakup: “I was an idiot at the time. I was passionate, something that will never happen to me again. We had some really good times with Marie Myriam and I admired the artist as well.. On the C8 set, Patrick Sébastien confides that the couple could have had another destiny together. “She was pregnant, indeed, and her parents weren't keen on her having a child. That's the real reason. She's a good girl, Marie. She's someone I've always admired. and it's part of my youth”confides the former host.

Marie Myriam and Patrick Sébastien, a long-standing bond

“Today, we laugh about it a lot. It was a kind of passion, which left something powerful, because my granddaughter is called Marie. And then, we have this distant tenderness which makes her has always been present. She was present at my mother's funeral, at my son's funeral. Somehow, it's a love from far away that's part of the family.” confides Patrick Sébastien about his relationship with Marie Myriam. A “little piece of his life” for the one who then lived for 20 years with Nathalie.
