Who are Thierry Lhermitte's three children?

“I have come to accept that they do not share my ambitions for them. The important thing is that they are happy.” It is in these terms that Thierry Lhermitte spoke of his three children, in full promotion of his latest film, Never confessdirected by Ivan Calbérac. Children that he very rarely mentions in public.

At 72, Thierry Lhermitte is the father of three children: Astrée, born in 1975, Victor, born in 1979 and Louise, born in 1993, all three born from his union with Hélène Aubert, his wife since 1974. Also an actress, she notably played the role of a club leader in The Bronzed.

Although they did not follow the same course as their father, they visibly shared with him the same lack of interest in studies. “I have to admit that studying isn’t really their thing either. We parents make the mistake of hoping that our children will succeed where we have failed, but this is often a disappointment,” he said. But who are his three children?

Astrée, the painter

Born in 1975, Astrée Lhermitte-Soka is today a painter. Like her father, she first entered the film industry as a makeup artist, before eventually changing paths completely. Passionate about Art, she eventually studied painting at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Georgia in the United States, where she lived between 1990 and 2000.

Married, she is now the mother of a little girl called Alice and has settled in France after living for several years in America.

Victor, the entrepreneur

Second child of the couple formed by Thierry Lhermitte and Hélène Aubert, Victor Lhermitte did not follow an artistic life. He is a restaurant entrepreneur in Quebec. After working as a maître d'hôtel, he now founded his own bistro in Montreal, called Cons Serve.

Aged 45, Victor Lhermitte is the father of a 10-year-old son and a 2-year-old granddaughter. Even if they do not live in France, the children are close to the actor, whom they even call “Papito”.

Louise, the singer

Aged 31, the youngest of the three children of the actor from the Splendid troupe has also chosen the artistic path, and more particularly music. Singer, she is also known under the name of Lonny and caused a sensation in the world of folk with her album Ex-Voto in 2022. She notably opened for Jane Birkin at the Olympia.

A pseudonym she chose in reference to her solitary character, refusing to follow in her father's footsteps. “Already little, it was not an option to do like my dad,” she confided to Duty. “I needed to define myself differently than my parents.”

A need for independence which does not prevent her from sharing very good relations with her father, to whom she would be the closest of the three children. “When my children were very young, I filmed so much that I didn’t see them much,” Thierry Lhermitte confided to Paris Match in 2016. “Except with my last daughter, with whom I have always been very close. I was not the same father for all three.”
