The ax has fallen. On November 20, at the end of a long day of hearing, Pierre Palmade was sentenced to five years in prison, including two years, by the criminal court (Seine-et-). The comedian was found guilty of “unintentional injuries” inflicted during the road accident he caused on February 10, 2023 in Villiers-en-Bière. Under the influence of drugs, he seriously injured a man, his 6-year-old son and a young pregnant woman, causing the loss of her baby. Guest on the set of Facing Hanouna this Sunday, November 24, Claude Fournier, historical producer of the comedian, reacted to this condemnation. “I am divided but at the same time, for me, it's not harsh enough, he said. I find that justice, in many areas, is not severe enough. That being said, the fact that he is the only one, in all the cases that I have looked at – almost 3000 in 3 years –, to go to prison despite the appeal he could make, I find it disgusting. He should be treated like everyone else.”

When announcing the verdict, the Melun court in fact attached Palmade's sentence to a “deferred committal warrant with provisional execution”.
