After taking care of his health in recent months, Stromae is back with a new duet with Pomme.
On December 6, TMC and TF1+ will broadcast the film of his tour interrupted in spring 2023.
Earlier this week, the singer was decorated by the King of Belgium for his entire career.
Slowly, but surely, Stromae returns to the forefront. In May 2023, the sudden end of his world tour upset fans of the Belgian singer. “I have to listen to my limits“, he wrote to them at the time on social networks. “I must resign myself to the fact that my health unfortunately does not allow me to continue coming to meet you for the moment“.
Already a victim of burnout in the past, Paul Van Haver – his real name – had recounted his suicidal thoughts on “Hell”, a poignant track from the album Multitudesperformed in an astonishing staging on the set of TF1's 8 p.m. in January 2022. Despite a new commercial and critical success, two new Victoire de la Musique awards to boot, the pop prodigy was unfortunately going to be overtaken by his demons.
A show worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster
After long months of uncertainty, Stromae finally gave his news last September, announcing the upcoming release of the film of his unfinished tour. Soberly titled Multitudes, the filmit will be broadcast on December 6 on TMC and TF1+, as a preview of its posting on YouTube eight days later.
For this extraordinary show, which took place from Brussels to Los Angeles via Paris, Amsterdam and New York, the singer had concocted a setup worthy of a Hollywood blockbuster, with a giant screen measuring 15 by 5 meters, supported by ten giant robotic arms weighing nearly 1.5 tonnes each!
Is Stromae about to resume the thread of his formidable career? Possible. This Saturday, he has just unveiled “Ma Meilleure Enemy”, a duet with the singer Pomme which appears on the soundtrack of the animated series Arcane, season 2 of which has just been put online on Netflix. A beautiful electro-pop ballad on which the voices of the two artists blend wonderfully.
This Thursday, the singer made one of his first public appearances in months in an astonishing setting. Suit, tie and smile on his face, he received the distinction of Commander of the Order of the Crown from King Philippe of Belgium at the Royal Palace in Brussels.

“His art makes Belgium resonate throughout the world. Like a certain Jacques Brel, in his time“, we could hear in a text written in advance by the palace and read to the public. “Stromae has managed to create a deep and offbeat musical universe, which resonates with the works of the great surrealist artists of the 20th century.“. And we hope that this is just the beginning.
