Indictment of Judith Godrèche after her accusations against Jacques Doillon, the actress reacts

By speaking out, Judith Godrèche, like all the other supposed victims, probably did not think she would have to face justice herself a few months later. Last February, the 52-year-old actress accused Benoît Jacquot, whose partner she was, of rape and Jacques Doillon, of sexual assault. Facts committed in 1989, when she was 15 years old, which the filmmaker described as “lies.”

According to Judith Godrèche's statements, the filmmaker “put his fingers in her pants” during tests for a film. Faced with these accusations, Jacques Doillon decided not to stop there. The 80-year-old filmmaker decided to file a complaint against Judith Godrèche for defamation. An announcement that the main interested party made in person on her Instagram account: “I have just received a preliminary notice of indictment following Jacques Doillon's complaint. […] I have not counted the number of complaints for rape and sexual assault filed against Jacques Doillon. I know mine is prescribed. But his defamation complaint is not. The indictment, in this case, is automatic. But still…“

She continues: “When I received this document, I thought of the letter he sent me to my parents. In which he compares himself to a pig. A jealous pig of Benoît Jacquot. I was 15 years old. So that was the last time he wrote to me. And I spent a lifetime painting the room pink – a room where no one gets sued for defamation because no one sues for rape. Neither. So there you have it, this life in pink is different from the life I live. But at least my life today tells the truth.”

This situation, Judith Godrèche does not hide from suffering from it: “When you cry at home after receiving a notice of indictment for defamation linked to the complaint filed by your attacker – that the plumber will ring any minute to repair the boiler, that you are trying to be good actress and act as if nothing happened” she wrote in story (see our slideshow). She explains in another story to be monitored on social networks : “When you know that Jacques Doillon's lawyer put someone to monitor your Instagram and that she has sent warnings to your lawyer since this complaint. How strange it is deep down to imagine being in that line of sight.“

Jacques Doillon's counterattack

Benoît Jacquot and Jacques Doillon were interviewed at the beginning of July by the Minor Protection Brigade (BPM). An investigation was launched by the Paris public prosecutor's office for rape of a minor under 15 years old by a person in authority, rape, violence by a partner, and sexual assault on a minor over 15 years old by a person in authority, after a complaint filed by Judith Godrèche .

Jacques Doillon's lawyer, Me Marie Dosé, denounced in July the attack on her client's presumption of innocence and the framework of his hearing. Jacques Doillonshould have been heard in the context of a free hearing in view of the age of the facts, their prescription acquired for more than two decades, and the inevitable dismissal of proceedings which will close this investigation.emphasized Me Dosé.

Jacques Doillon remains presumed innocent of the facts with which he is accused until the case is closed by the courts.
